What time is No Hard Feelings coming to Netflix?
Who else has been itching to watch Jennifer Lawrence’s latest movie, No Hard Feelings? I can tell you that I’ve been waiting and waiting for the film to arrive on Netflix! Earlier in the month, the streamer played a bit of a trick on us. We thought the comedy was coming on Sept. 23, but that was the release date for Netflix India. So what about us U.S. viewers? When can we expect it?
Mark your calendars! No Hard Feelings begins streaming Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023 at 12 a.m. PT on Netflix. This is the time new releases usually arrive on the streamer. For those of you on the east coast, that means you can start watching at 3 a.m. ET. Midwesterners like myself, we’re going to want to set our alarms for 2 a.m. CT. I’m so happy the film is releasing on Sunday at midnight. That means even if I stay up a little late, it’s no big deal. I’m off the for the day!
Many of you might know that the movie actually made its debut in theaters in June 2023. And, it’s a Sony Pictures Entertainment project. So why is it going to stream on Netflix? That’s because the two companies came to a deal back in 2021. The agreement is that Netflix would be the first streaming home for new Sony releases. I for one am very thankful for this deal!
So what is the adult comedy all about? Who else stars alongside Jennifer Lawrence? We’ve got the answer for you below!
The story of No Hard Feelings and its cast
Jennifer Lawrence is such a powerhouse! She’s taken on so many great and powerful roles. Just look at her performance in Silver Linings Playbook opposite Bradley Cooper (also streaming on Netflix!). While we love to see the talent in the dramatic roles, portraying the more light-hearted characters also shows just how dynamic of an actress she is.
And in No Hard Feelings, that’s what we get! Also producing the the movie, Lawrence stars as Maddie Barke. She’s in need of money and comes across the perfect way to get some cash. An “intriguing job listing” comes her way and is asking for a woman to ‘date’ their “introverted 19-year-old son,” per the synopsis. As he’s leaving for college, his wealthy parents want to make sure he shakes off some of that awkwardness. Thinking it would be an easy job, Maddie takes it on. But her ‘boyfriend’ Percy is “more of a challenge” than she thought. And she’s running out of time before losing it all.
Andrew Barth Feldman stars as Percy Becke, with Laura Benanti as Allison Becker and Matthew Broderick as Laird Becker as his parents. Natalie Morales as Sara and Hasan Minhaj as Doug Khan round out the cast.
