Netflix has an exciting line-up of movies coming this fall and winter, with highly-anticipated movies from directors like Wes Anderson, Zack Snyder, and David Fincher on the way. Not to mention the numerous big stars who are in these movies, like Julianne Moore, Benicio Del Toro, Natalie Portman, Mahershala Ali, and more.

One movie we’re particularly excited for is Reptile, from director Grant Singer. Reptile is a neo-noir crime thriller starring Del Toro, Justin Timberlake, and Alicia Silverstone. Del Toro stars as a hardened detective up against a crime unlike any he’s ever seen before. What starts as a fairly average, if brutal, murder case causes him to reassess everything he thought he knew about his life and job. Nothing about this case is what it initially appears.

We have some good news to share about the upcoming film. Netflix recently announced that Reptile will be coming out earlier than anticipated! They have moved the film’s release date up, so now it will be out in September.

Reptile is coming to Netflix in September

Yep, you read that right! Reptile will now be releasing in September instead of October. Netflix changed that dates for a few of its movies, and the crime thriller happened to be among them. Now, Reptile will be out a week earlier, on Friday, September 29.

Previously, the movie was slated for an October 6 release date. Now the end of September is looking pretty exciting with Reptile, new Wes Anderson short films, and Spy Kids: Armageddon all arriving within days of each other.

As exciting as it is that the movie releasing earlier, we’ve still got to wait a little bit to watch it. Check out the official trailer below to tide you over for now!

Make sure to add Reptile to your Netflix watchlist to get a notification when the movie officially goes live on the streaming service.
