Korean dramas are taking over, and there’s just no denying that. Fortunately, Netflix saw the demand, took action, and became one of the main streaming homes for Korean content. In fact, the streaming giant announced back in April 2023 that it would be investing $2.5 billion over the next four years to produce more Korean dramas, films, and reality shows. So, we can expect so much more great Korean content in the near future.

But let’s focus on the present at this moment. Since the beginning of 2023, we’ve seen the release of many Korean dramas of different genres on Netflix, such as Crash Course in RomanceLove to Hate You, The Glory part 2, Doctor ChaBlack KnightQueenmakerBloodhounds etc.

And there’s still more to come throughout the rest of the year! So you don’t miss any of the upcoming releases, we decided to share the remaining Korean dramas expected and confirmed to be released by the end of 2023.

However, we must mention that not all of the Korean dramas have official release dates yet. But most of them do have the quarter they will be released in.

Mask Girl release date

Most Korean dramas typically follow two characters who fall in love. Well, Mask Girl isn’t your typical K-Drama. It’s a suspenseful series consisting of layered characters and a unique plot. This isn’t a show you want to miss so make sure to mark your calendar for Friday, Aug. 18, 2023, because Mask Girl will be dropping on Netflix on this date.

Unlike other Korean show releases on Netflix, the complete first season of Mask Girl will be released at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET. This means you can binge-watch the entire show in one sitting if you wanted to.

Based on the Naver webtoon of the same name by Mae-mi, Mask Girl follows the life of Kim Mo-mi, an ordinary office worker who’s insecure about her physical appearance but who has always dreamed of one day being a star. During the day, she might be a nondescript office worker. But at night, she transforms into an internet personality known as Mask Girl. When Kim Mo-mi becomes entangled in a dangerous incident, her life gets turned completely upside down. She’s taken away to prison and has to serve time for her crimes.

Three South Korean entertainers play the role of Kim Mo-mi. Ko Hyun-jung plays an older Kim Mo-mi while Nana portrays a younger version. An unidentified third actress plays Kim Mo-mi as well. The rest of the talented main cast is made up of Ahn Jae-hong, Yeom Hye-ran, and Choi Daniel.
