Move over Joe Goldberg, someone else is out for revenge, and Netflix viewers are loving it. The Korean series The Glory recently returned with part 2, and it has already bested several of Netflix’s most popular series, including You season 4 and Outer Banks season 3.

The Glory centers on one woman’s plan to get revenge on the people who brutally bullied and tormented her during high school. Since she was a teenager, Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo) has been meticulously planning an elaborate plan of vengeance against the perpetrators, led by ringleader Yeon Jin (Lim Ji Yeon). Now that she’s an adult, Dong Eun can finally see her dream become a reality, with assistance from a handsome doctor (Lee Do Hyun) who finds himself captivated by her.

After premiering on March 10, The Glory part 2 quickly racked up 124.46 million hours viewed, more than the 75.81 million earned by You season 4 part 2. Outer Banks season 3 did great during its first few weeks on the chart, but it only amassed 44.58 million this week, allowing The Glory to slip past it.

The Glory part 1 drummed up 82.48 million hours during its second week this past January and cemented a spot in the Top 10 for several weeks after its December 2022 premiere. Undoubtedly, The Glory part 2 is going to stick around for a while, and its viewership is sure to jump as more people check it out.

The Glory just became one of Netflix’s most-viewed shows of all time

Not only did The Glory part 2 secure excellent numbers during its first week, but the show actually managed to become one of Netflix’s most-viewed shows of all time. It entered Netflix’s Top 10 chart for most popular non-English television shows (based on hours viewed within their first 28 days on the platform).

The Glory season 1 (combined hours for part 1 and part 2) reached 289.2 million hours viewed overall, besting Elite season 3’s 275.3 million. I wouldn’t be surprised if The Glory ultimately beats Lupin part 1 and maybe even Café con aroma de mujer season 1 to move up to the seventh or eighth place on this list.

With those numbers, it’s possible that another season could happen, although the show ends on a rather final note.
