The Glory season 2: Will there be another season?

The Glory is one of Netflix’s biggest new dramas, but can fans expect to see The Glory season 2? Here’s what we know about the K-drama’s future.

Following a tormented teenager through adulthood where she’s now hellbent on revenge, The Glory is an addictive and well-acted series that premiered in December 2022. The first eight episodes came out at the tail end of last year, and fans have been waiting months now to see how the suspenseful series will come to an end.

On March 10, Netflix released The Glory part 2, containing the final eight episodes of the show. But is that really all there is to it, or will there be another season?

The Glory season 2 renewal status: Will there be The Glory season 2?

It’s unlikely that The Glory will return for a second season. The Glory part 2 did a good job at wrapping up the story for the most part, and while it’s always possible that it could continue, it seems like The Glory was purposefully crafted to be a limited, 16-episode series. Most of the Korean shows on Netflix don’t get multiple seasons because the whole story is told in the initial episode order. But there are a few exceptions, like the zombie horror series All of Us Are Dead, Squid Game, and Sweet Home.

It’s more common for K-Dramas to release their shows in their entirety and not create a bunch of follow-up seasons. It’s a good thing because then it ensures fans get a complete story, although the drawback is that if you aren’t ready to say goodbye to the characters and world just yet, you might miss out on a continuation.

In this day and age, it’s hard to say for certain whether a “limited” show really is going to stay limited. It’s possible that Netflix will order more of The Glory due to its success, but as of right now, the show has not been renewed. It’s unlikely to be “canceled” because of its status as a 16-episode series. But if there is renewal news, we’ll be sure to let you know.
