Where was Outer Banks season 3 filmed?

The fictional town of Kildare may be paradise on earth for our favorite Pogues in Outer Banks, but as fans of the show know, that’s never stopped them from exploring new locations near and far from their home. As many already know, Outer Banks season 3 landed on Netflix on Feb. 23, 2023, and the new season saw the close-knit friend group explore a new place as they continue their search for treasure.

If you’ve binged through the new episodes you’ll know that their hunt has landed them on a desert island they swiftly rename “Poguelandia”,” but if you’re curious as to where exactly the scenes for the third installment were filmed, you’re in luck! According to reports, season 3 was filmed across various locations — including the islands of Guadeloupe, Basseterre in St. Kitts, and Venezuela —  across Barbados and Charleston, South Carolina.

Barbados provided the main backdrop for the season’s supposed deserted island and many of the street scenes throughout the port city and island country’s capital of Bridgetown. According to House Beautiful, the church that plays a key role this season is a location that you could visit. According to the site, the church featured in season 3 is St. John Parish Church.

Other locations used to film that you could visit include Cove Spring House, a rentable seaside mansion that’s used as the Camerons’ holiday home in South Carolina, and the white sands on the east coast known as Bathsheba Beach, which provided the scenes for the Pogues’ idyllic refuge.
