We have great news to share, Netflix Lifers! Netflix has just announced a release date for The Upshaws part 3. Even though it’s called “part 3,” this will actually be the second part of the second season. The first part of the second season premiered on June 29, 2022, and left viewers on a cliffhanger. We can’t wait to see how the story continues in the final part of the season.

The Upshaws is a Netflix original series created by Regina Y. Hicks and Wanda Sykes. It follows a working-class African American family in Indiana as they try to navigate the ups and downs of life.

The family sitcom has seen much success at Netflix. In fact, Netflix renewed the show for a third season. People absolutely love this series and can’t get enough of it because it’s very comical and relatable. It also has an incredible cast, including Wanda Sykes, Mike Epps, Kim Fields, Page Kennedy, Gabrielle Dennis, and others.

The Upshaws part 3 (or season 2, part 2) will be released on Thursday, February 16, 2023.

When Netflix ordered a second season back in June 2021, they gave a season order of 16 episodes. The first eight episodes were a part of part 1, so you can expect the remaining eight episodes to drop in part 3.

What could The Upshaws part 3 be about?

The second season ends with Benny and Lucretia in jail after being arrested for allegedly buying and reselling stolen car parts. Regina quits her job, Aaliyah’s relationship with her best friend Savannah becomes really rocky, and Savannah kisses Kelvin. The story will most likely pick up where it left off, and we’ll get to see the aftermath of everything that happened in the last moments of part 1. We’ll also see the Upshaws work through more obstacles throughout the rest of the season.
