Harry & Meghan docuseries release date, synopsis, trailer, photos, and more

Get ready to take a closer glimpse into the lives of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The power duo inked a deal with Netflix back in 2020 and now we’re finally seeing what they’ve got for fans. The streamer recently announced a six-episode documentary series about the couple, titled Harry & Meghan. And that’s not all! We’ve also now got the release date and trailer which gives us an idea of what we can expect from the show. Academy Award nominee Liz Garbus (What Happened, Miss Simone?) is set to direct.

Now that we have the release date for Harry & Meghan, we know we can expect this thrilling series to debut very, very soon!

As announced on Dec. 5, the new docuseries will hit Netflix in two volumes this month! Volume 1 will come out this Thursday, Dec. 8, and Volume 2 will follow on Thursday, Dec. 15. That means we only have a few days to check it out!

As fans of the 41-year-old know, Markle was an actress before joining the Royal Family. She is best known for the legal drama Suits, which she left at the end of season 7. Though it’d been reported she’s not looking to return to acting now that she and Harry have taken a step back from the British Monarchy, fans have been super curious about their plans, especially after we heard about their multiyear deal with Netflix. Well, their big project has been officially announced!

According to Netflix, Harry & Meghan will be executive produced by Erica Sashin, Mark Monroe, Dan Cogan, Liz Garbus, Ben Browning, Chanel Pysnik, Jon Bardin, Mala Chapple, and Angus Wall, and as mentioned earlier, Liz Garbus will direct.

Harry & Meghan docuseries synopsis

As Markle says in the teaser for Harry & Meghan, the couple wants to tell their side of the story with the docuseries. We’ll get to see the ins and outs of their relationship, which began in 2016 when they started dating. By 2018, the two were married in a gorgeous ceremony, but things unfortunately started going downhill from there. Markle was targeted by the media and faced racism and sexism, and she alleged this treatment came from inside the Royal Family as well.

Fans will remember the tell-all interview with Oprah that Markle and Harry gave in 2021, where they opened up about the unfair treatment they received. We’re assuming all of this will be explored in the Netflix doc. Check out the official synopsis from the streamer below:
