We’re more than ready to see That ’90s Show make its landing on Netflix! We’ve been waiting for the show’s arrival since we found out who’s in the cast. There are so many new and familiar faces, and we can’t wait to see them in action. But when will the show make its way to Netflix?

That ’90s Show is a spinoff series of the popular teen sitcom That ’70s Show. Netflix gave a series order of 10 episodes to That ’90s Show back in October 2021. The original series creators Bonnie and Terry Turner returned as co-creators along with their daughter Lindsay Turner and Gregg Mettler for the spinoff. They’re also all signed on as executive producers. Additionally, Mettler is the showrunner. The story follows Leia Forman, the daughter of Eric Forman and Donna Pinciotti, as she spends the summer of 1995 with her grandparents at Point Place, Wisconsin. While visiting her grandparents, Leia meets and makes friends with the neighborhood kids.

Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp, who portrayed Red and Kitty Forman in the original series, were confirmed to be returning for the spinoff when it was ordered. In addition, Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Wilmer Valderrama, and Tommy Chong were later confirmed to have joined the series and would be making guest appearances. Besides Smith and Rupp, the rest of the regular cast includes Callie Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi, and Sam Morelos.

So is That ’90s Show coming to Netflix in 2022? Here’s everything we know about the show’s release below!

Is That ’90s Show coming to Netflix in 2022?

Hopefully! Netflix has not announced an official release date yet, but we remain hopeful that the show can be squeezed in for a late 2022 release. What’s on Netflix reported that filming took place between Feb. 7 and July 21. The show’s protagonist, Callie Haverda, also shared that production had wrapped through a post on Instagram. The post is dated July 28. Although the wrap dates are different, our guess is that filming finished sometime in late July. The show should have then immediately entered post-production afterward.

We’re probably looking at about three to four months of post-production. This would put the release date somewhere between October and November. However, Netflix shows typically spend about six to eight months in post-production. We doubt the episodes will take eight months to be edited. The maximum time we think the show will spend in post-production is six months. So the latest we believe we could see That ’90s Show is January 2023.

Fingers crossed, post-production doesn’t take that long, so we can see That ’90s Show by the end of 2022.

Stay tuned to Netflix Life because we’ll share the official release date for That ’90s Show once Netflix announces it!
