We’re right around the corner from the premiere of Virgin River season 4, and now that the official trailer is out, we have so many clues as to what will happen next! In case you forget, the season 3 finale ends on a HUGE cliffhanger when Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) tells Jack (Martin Henderson) that she’s pregnant. It’s great news, especially because Mel was under the impression she couldn’t get pregnant again. The only thing they have to worry about is… Mel doesn’t know who the father is!

As seen in the Virgin River season 4 trailer, Mel and Jack are going through it again, as Jack doesn’t want to find out who the baby’s father is and Mel is concerned with his drinking. Don’t think for a second that this season won’t be jam-packed with drama! And on top of everything else going on, another major storyline in season 4 will be (hopefully) finding out who shot Jack. All the way back in the season 2 finale, Jack is shot in his bar and we still don’t know who the culprit is.

Brady (Ben Hollingsworth) is convicted of shooting Jack, though he insists he wasn’t the person to do it. Jack still holds onto hope that it wasn’t his friend, and to this day, we just don’t know. In Virgin River season 4, Brady is serving time for the crime. But did he really do it?

Did Brady shoot Jack in Virgin River?

In the Virgin River season 4 trailer, we see a clip of Preacher (Colin Lawrence) approaching Jack with a video on his phone, telling him he has to see something his Private Investigator showed him. In the video, we see Vince (Steve Bacic), Wes’ brother. Before we learn more, the trailer cuts to a clip of Brady in prison, with Jack’s voiceover saying: “Brady didn’t shoot me. We gotta get him out of there.”

Based on the trailer, it looks like Brady did not shoot Jack. So, was it Vince? Well, at this point all we have to go off of is the trailer, so we don’t have confirmation. Of course, a trailer could splice up different parts of the season and what we’re seeing might be misleading. There’s only one way to find out for sure, and that’s by watching Virgin River season 4 when it hits Netflix on July 20.
