The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 is not coming to Netflix in July 2022

One of the biggest new Netflix original series is also one of the best new Netflix original series, and it’s The Lincoln Lawyer. Ever since its premiere in May 2022, fans have been waiting for word on when The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 would be arriving on Netflix.

Based on the series of books by Michael Connelly, The Lincoln Lawyer adapts the book The Brass Verdict and stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller. After a tumultuous year away, Haller returns to law and takes on his most complicated murder case yet.

The series, which isn’t connected to the 2011 movie starring Matthew McConaughey as Haller, also stars Neve Campbell and Becki Newton in key leading roles, as well as Christopher Gorham as the billionaire at the center of the highly publicized murder case.

Unfortunately, The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 won’t be coming to Netflix in July 2022, since the series was not included on the complete list of new releases for the month, as expected. But fans can rest easy knowing that there’s great news about the show’s future.

The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 release updates

In June 2022, Netflix announced that The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 was officially happening. Due to positive fan reception and impressive viewership figures, the streaming service opted to quickly renew the legal drama for a second season.

The renewal came a little over a month after the May 10 premiere of the new series, which marks one of the fastest renewals for Netflix in recent memory. We’re hoping there are many more seasons to come with plenty of material to pull from in Connelly’s book series.

Along with the season 2 renewal, Netflix confirmed that season 2 would be based on the book The Fifth Witness and there would again be 10 episodes in the follow-up season. What’s more, Campbell and Newtown are locked to return as regulars for the season season.
