Netflix will be adding another original series titled Kung Fu Panda: Dragon Knight to its kids’ section soon, and we’re so excited to share everything there is to know about it!

On March 16, Netflix announced that they would be expanding the Kung Fu Panda universe with a new animated series from DreamWorks Animation and Jack Black reprising his role as Po the panda. In addition, Peter Hastings and Shaunt Nigoghossian had signed on as executive producers with Chris Amick and Ben Mekler joining the series as co-executive producers.

According to a new press release from Netflix, the Kung Fu Panda animated series is coming on Thursday, July 14, 2022.

The first cast member to be announced was Jack Black. As we mentioned earlier, he will be returning in his role as Po the panda.

"Jack Black returns to KUNG FU PANDA in the new series KUNG FU PANDA: THE DRAGON KNIGHT. When a mysterious pair of weasels set their sights on a collection of four powerful weapons, Po must leave his home to embark on a globe-trotting quest for redemption and justice that finds him partnered up with a no-nonsense English knight named Wandering Blade. Together, these two mismatched warriors set out on an epic adventure to find the magical weapons first and save the world from destruction — and they may even learn a thing or two from each other along the way."
