Stranger Things season 4 (May 27, July 1)

After more than two years of waiting, Stranger Things is finally returning at the end of May! Technically late May is late spring, but I tend to count everything from Memorial Day onward as the summer season. The first half of the new season comes out on the holiday weekend, providing optimal binge time for fans.

We know that the nine-episode season will be split into two volumes, with the second batch of episodes arriving about five weeks later, on July 1. Every episode is said to be more than an hour long as the Duffer brothers have advertised this season as the “‘Game of Thrones’ season,” meaning it’ll be massive and double the runtime of the previous three outings.

The Umbrella Academy season 3 (June 22)

The Umbrella Academy is also making its grand return this year! Premiering the day after summer’s official start date, the third season will see the Hargreeves face off against the Sparrow Academy.

When we last saw the superpowered family, they had thoroughly messed up the timeline and stopped the apocalypse yet again. But when they return to the present, they discover that their father, Reginald Hargreeves, is alive and he replaced them with a new batch of teens, including Ben!

Peaky Blinders season 6 (June 10)

I might be cheating a few times on this list regarding the official summer start date, but, well, whatever! Peaky Blinders season 6 has already aired across the pond, but Netflix U.S. fans will get their chance to watch the final season starting on June 10.

Those eager to see how things will shake out for Tommy Shelby as he continues trying to build is political legacy won’t want to miss out on the last episodes of the series. That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see more Peaky Blinders in some shape or form down the line.

Resident Evil (July 14)

A new live-action Resident Evil series is finally coming to Netflix in the very near future! On July 14, the first season will premiere. According to the synopsis, Resident Evil will take place in 2036, 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse. Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by blood-thirsty creatures while simultaneously haunted by her past in New Raccoon City and her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation.

Never Have I Ever season 3 (TBA)

Netflix recently confirmed that there would only be two more seasons of the Mindy Kaling-produced series Never Have I Ever. We know the third season of the teen comedy is going to come out this summer, but unfortunately we don’t have a release date just yet. I’m guessing July or August. Then the fourth season will be the show’s last.

God’s Favorite Idiot (June 15)

Melissa McCarthy is back! On June 15, all eight episodes of her new series God’s Favorite Idiot will premiere. McCarthy stars in the show alongside her real-life husband and frequent collaborator Ben Falcone. The series revolves around a tech support employee who unwittingly becomes God’s messenger.
