First look at Elliot Page as Viktor Hargreeves in The Umbrella Academy season 3

Elliot Page just made an exciting announcement on Twitter! They will be playing Viktor Hargreeves in The Umbrella Academy season 3, and they recently shared the first official picture of themselves in the role.

Page has played Number Seven/White Violin throughout the show’s run. In The Umbrella Academy season 3, Page will continue to portray that role as Viktor Hargreeves, so it seems like Viktor’s storyline will reflect real life.

In December 2020, Elliot Page came out as trans, and it appears like that journey will be reflected in Viktor’s character arc on the show. It’s nice to see that Netflix and The Umbrella Academy writers were happy to work with Elliot on his character.

Immediately after tweeting, several of the Netflix Twitter accounts retweeted and quote-tweeted Page in support, including the official Umbrella Academy Twitter, Netflix Geeked, Most and Page’s co-star Justin Min, who plays Ben Hargreeves/Number Six/The Horror in the show (and will be a member of the Sparrow Academy in The Umbrella Academy season 3).

The picture itself does not tell us much about what’s going to happen with Viktor in the show’s third season. It looks like they are sitting next to Emmy Raver-Lampman, who plays Allison Hargreeves/Number Three/The Rumor. The duo is seen sitting in a diner, which we can assume is in the modern-day storyline since that’s where the Hargreeves ended up again by the end of season 2. Perhaps they’re discussing what to do about the Sparrow Academy?

Thankfully, we don’t have to wait too much longer to see Viktor Hargreeves and the rest of his family in action, as The Umbrella Academy will return with ten new episodes on June 22, 2022.
