New Ozark photos have fans thinking Ben returns in season 4 part 2

The final episodes of Ozark release in just a week’s time, and of course fans of the crime thriller are all speculating how it’ll come to an end. The award-winning show has given us many twists and turns throughout the seasons, and we know season 4 part 2 won’t skip out on the thrilling moments. We’re expecting the last seven episodes to be big for Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner), who’s got someone big on her hit list. But what about the other characters? What surprises can we expect from them?

Well, eagle-eyed fans think they might’ve figured out a major surprise for Ozark season 4 part 2, with many speculating that Wendy Byrde’s (Laura Linney) brother Ben Davis (Tom Pelphrey) will return. Of course, the question remains how that would be possible considering he’s killed in season 3. In season 4 part 2, we even see Ben’s ashes, though of course they could be from someone else.

The reason people think Ben could appear again is that the actor who plays him was photographed at the Ozark season 4 part 2 premiere this week, posing alongside his fellow co-stars on the red carpet. Though this doesn’t confirm anything, fans on Twitter couldn’t help but notice it could be a clue at his fate. See some of the photos from the big night below!

On Twitter, fans have been sharing and reacting to the premiere photos, with one person writing, “tom pelphrey at the ozark premiere clear the searches ben alive,” and another replying to our tweet with, “Ben is ALIVE??? I hope so!!! #Ozark.” Fans on Facebook can’t stop talking about the possibility either.

Is Ben coming back for Ozark season 4 part 2?

But despite Pelphrey attending the premiere, it’s very unlikely his character will return in the final season. There were rumors in 2020 that he’d come back, but I’d just call that a hopeful theory. There’s really no reason to resurrect him with everything else going on for the Byrdes, and it would definitely affect Ruth’s storyline in a way that I don’t see it going. Though many shows bring back characters from the dead pretty often, Ozark isn’t one of them. It’s possible Ben could appear in a flashback, but we don’t expect the show to reveal he’s alive.

Pelphrey did a fantastic job bringing the character to life, and was even nominated for a Critics’ Choice Television Award for his portrayal. As much as we miss seeing that powerful performance on our screens, there are still plenty of reasons to tune in for Ozark season 4 part 2.
