Ozark season 4 part 2: Here’s the full scoop on the final episodes on Netflix
The Netflix Original Ozark is coming to an end in just over a week’s time, and fans are all waiting on the edge of their seats to find out how to crime drama concludes. The series stars Marty (Jason Bateman) and Wendy Byrde (Laura Linney), a husband and wife who get involved in money laundering and work with the Mexican Cartel. They’re forced to uproot their family from Chicago, Illinois to the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, where they face even more danger and meet interesting characters in the drug trade.
Actress Julia Garner steals the show as Ruth Langmore, a young woman who was born into a family of criminals. Last we saw Ruth, she was on a mission fueled by heartbreak and devastation, which we’re expecting might not go well. We’re expecting Ozark season 4 part 2 will open up where we left off with Ruth leaving the Byrdes to go find Javi (Alfonso Herrera) and get her revenge.
Below you’ll find everything you need to know to prepare for the release of Ozark season 4 part 2!
*Spoilers ahead for Ozark season 4 part 1.*
Ozark season season 4 part 1 recap
Ozark season 4 part 1 sees power-hungry Wendy make new deals around the Midwest, with Mexican Cartel member Javi causing trouble. Javi is Omar Navarro’s (Felix Solis) nephew, and he’s one of the most reckless characters we’ve seen on the show so far. He kills multiple people — including Darlene (Lisa Emery) and Wyatt (Charlie Tahan) — which creates a huge mess to clean up.
At the end of Ozark season 4 part 1, Ruth finds Darlene and Wyatt dead in their home and immediately drives over to the Byrdes to find out what happened. Jonah Byrde (Skylar Gaertner) tells Ruth who did it, and she’s off to go find Javi.
What is Ozark season 4 part 2 about?
As mentioned, we’re expecting (and hoping) that Ozark season 4 part 2 opens up with Ruth going to find Javi. We’re not sure if she’ll actually be able to kill him, but she’s understandably furious and will do anything to get back at the man who killed her cousin. The trailer for part 2 actually shows Ruth shooting Javi, or at least that’s what it seems, but I’m not convinced the show would just give away such a major plot point like that. Maybe it’s a fake-out somehow.
Also in the trailer, we see that the consequences of Marty and Wendy’s actions are really starting to catch up to them in a big way. Omar is still in custody, and if Javi does get killed, he’s not going to be happy about it. Marty seems to be on Ruth’s side while Wendy wants to do whatever is best for them and them alone.

Are Darlene (Lisa Emery) and Wyatt (Charlie Tahan) in Ozark season 4 part 2?
Darlene and Wyatt are definitely an interesting couple in Ozark. Although Darlene makes terrible choices and even kills people in season 4 part 1, she and Wyatt don’t deserve to go in the way that they do. Some people might disagree with me on that, though. Whether you love her or hate her, Darlene will not return for season 4 part 2, and neither will Wyatt.
It’s possible the two characters will be in flashbacks from Ruth’s perspective, but don’t expect them to come back from the dead.

How many episodes is Ozark season 4 part 2?
There are seven episodes in total in Ozark season 4 part 2. It was announced back in June 2020 that Ozark season 4 would be the final season, there would be 14 episodes total, and the season would be split in two parts evenly.
Where was Ozark season 4 filmed?
According to Jetset Times, the majority of Ozark season 4 was filmed in and around Atlanta, Georgia. This makes sense, considering most of the entire show was filmed there. There are also some Chicago, Illinois shots as that’s where Marty and Wendy are from. We’ll likely be seeing more of Chicago in season 4 part 2 because the couple wants to move back there. Let’s see if they’re able to, though!
Ozark season 4 part 2 trailer
Netflix released the full-length trailer for Ozark season 4 part 2 at the end of March, exactly one month before the release. Check it out below! It looks super intense.
Where to watch Ozark season 4 part 2
Ozark is a Netflix Original, and the show is exclusive to the streaming service. When season 4 part 2 comes out, it’ll only be on Netflix. It’ll definitely be worth subscribing to the platform, as after Ozark concludes, we’ll be getting new seasons of Stranger Things and The Umbrella Academy. 2022 will be a great year for Netflix shows, so don’t miss out!
Will there be an Ozark season 5?
Unfortunately for fans of the crime drama, Ozark season 4 is the final season, meaning Ozark season 5 is not happening. Depending on how the show ends, I’d love to see a spin-off for Ruth, but of course that’s just me hoping. At this time, no further seasons or spin-offs for Ozark have been announced or even teased.
Fans can look forward to a 30-minute special saying goodbye to the show, A Farewell to Ozark, to be added to Netflix alongside the season 4 part 2 released. This will serve as a retrospective to look back at the series as it ends.
