Is Lu in Elite season 5? (Is Danna Paola returning?)

Elite season 5 will be on our screens in just a few short days, and fans of the Spanish-language drama cannot wait to see what happens next for our favorite (and least favorite) Las Encinas students. The season 4 finale was certainly explosive, and with another murder now solved, we’re curious to see what the next big event the new season will follow is.

As for the characters of Elite season 5, we’ll be seeing some familiar faces returning along with new cast members. There are, of course, a few characters who have left the series that fans would love to see make a comeback, including Ester Expósito as Carla. Another favorite throughout the years is actress Danna Paola, who played Lucrecia “Lu” Montesinos Hendrich in seasons 1 through 3.

So should we expect Lu to return for Elite season 5? Here’s what we know.

Is Lu in Elite season 5?

As much as fans love Paola and her over-the-top character in Elite, we likely shouldn’t expect her to appear in the fifth season. As you’ll recall, Lu’s final moments on the show back in season 3 are extremely intense, as after she kills Polo (Álvaro Rico), her friends clean up the mess and she leaves Spain. When we last see her, she’s off to New York City to attend Columbia University with Nadia (Mina El Hammani).

Fans on Reddit say Paola has claimed she would return for another season of Elite, but we have the confirmed cast list for season 5 and sadly, she’s not included. That said, we know that Itzan Escamilla will return as Samuel, as well as Claudia Salas as Rebe, Carla Díaz as Ari, Omar Ayuso as Omar, Manu Ríos as Patrick, and other cast members.

As for new additions to the Elite cast, look out for actors Valentina Zenere and André Lamoglia.

While it’s unfortunate we aren’t expecting to see Lu in Elite season 5, there are still many other opportunities for you to support Danna Paola.
