Elite season 5 release date confirmed for April 2022

Elite is returning sooner than you might expect. The fifth season of the Spanish thriller will be back in a few short weeks. Keep reading to find out more about Elite season 5 and when you can expect the new season to debut on Netflix.

According to TVLine, the upcoming season will pick up right after the dramatic events of Phillipe’s New Year’s party. Samuel and Ari will be tested by the overwhelming secret of Armando’s death while characters like Rebeca and Omar must adapt to new circumstances in their lives.

Elite season 5 will also feature a few new characters to add even more drama to a show already stuffed with plenty. Among these new characters are Bilal, played by Adam Nourou, Ivan (Andre Lamoglia) and Isadora (Valentina Zenere). Isadora is a young heiress, while Ivan is the son of a soccer star.

TVLine also shared a statement from series co-creator Carlos Montero, who said, “Elite is a universe I always want to return to. As a creator and as a spectator. It stimulates me, comforts me, encourages me. And the fifth season has been so great, so alive, that I know I’m going to come back to it more than twice and three times. It’s a feast for the senses. You’re going to enjoy it.”

All eight episodes of the show’s fifth season will drop on Friday, April 8, exclusively on Netflix.

Fans have been waiting on this news for a long time, especially since Netflix previously renewed the hit series for a sixth season. That means we’ll be getting plenty of Elite for a while! It’s always nice when you can enjoy a new season without having to worry about whether or not the show is going to be abruptly canceled at the end.

We don’t have an “official” trailer for the fifth season yet, but the Netflix account for Elite released a fun teaser on Monday morning for fans to get a peek at what’s to come, in addition to announcing the date.
