Best new Netflix shows April 2, 2022

We have some great recommendations below of the best Netflix shows to watch this weekend.

Trivia Quest

While this is more of a game than a series, it will be a lot of fun! Netflix is getting into the gaming world with its new interactive feature, Trivia Quest. Each day during April, a new quest will be released with 24 new questions. The questions will come from the following categories: science, history, entertainment, sports, art, and geography.

As you answer the questions correctly, you will help Willy advance towards defeating the evil Rocky, who has kidnapped all of his friends. Check out the trailer below to see more.

Better Call Saul season 5

On April 4, season 5 of AMC’s series Better Call Saul will finally be available on Netflix. This weekend is the perfect opportunity to binge seasons 1-4 to prepare. This series is a prequel to Breaking Bad that features characters from the original series.

Set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, this series develops Jimmy McGill, a lawyer and con man, into Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), a narcissistic criminal defense attorney. The series also shows the moral decline of former police officer Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), who becomes involved with the Juarez drug cartel to provide for his granddaughter and her widowed mother.

If you were a fan of Breaking Bad, you will enjoy this origin story about Goodman and Ehrmantraut.

Get Organized with The Home Edit season 2

If you enjoyed the first season of Get Organized with The Home Edit, you are in luck because season 2 is now available. This series sees hosts and “organizational gurus” Clea and Joanna help celebrity and everyday clients transform their homes by decluttering their spaces into functional works of art.

Season 2 will see the duo transform space in homes of celebrities like Drew Barrymore, Winnie Harlow, Chris Pratt, Topper Guild, and Kevin Hart, as well as many other homes around the country.

Ozark

Ozark will be releasing part 2 of the fourth and final season at the end of April, so you have plenty of time to binge the entire series for the first time or as a rewatch. This series will pull you in and keep you glued to the screen, wondering what will happen next.

The series follows an average American family, the Byrdes, who move from Chicago to the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri to laundry money. Once they are situated in the Ozarks, things become complicated, pulling them further and further into the world of crime.

This series is a gritting crime drama with a fantastic cast praised by critics and audiences alike.

Derry Girls

If you enjoy a good British sitcom, check out Derry Girls, set in Derry, Northern Ireland, during the last years of the Northern Ireland Conflict. Although the main storylines are fictional, the series does touch on actual events that occur during the period, including the cease-fire announcement and a visit from the Clintons. The soundtrack also includes songs from that era.

It is a hilarious comedy series that follows Erin Quinn (Saoirse-Monica Jackson), Orla (Louisa Harland), Clare (Nicola Coughlan), Michelle (Jamie-Lee O’Donnell), and James (Dylan Llewellyn) during their teenage years in Derry. They all attend the Our Lady Immaculate College, a fictional girls’ Catholic secondary school. Even James, who is English, as they are afraid the boys would beat up if he attended the boy’s school. They find themselves entangled in many absurd situations and crazy adventures, making for a hilarious series.

Netflix currently has two seasons of the series available, and the third season will premiere on the British Channel 4 in April. If this follows the previous schedule, Netflix could see an August release for season 3 of Derry Girls.
