April is here and with it comes (hopefully) warmer weather and a bunch of new movies and shows on Netflix. While most of the things being added aren’t brand new, they may be new to you or something you want to watch again.

April 1 brings three movies from a superhero franchise, a bunch of rom-coms, a new star-studded Netflix Original movie, and a new sci-fi movie.

Blade, Blade II, and Blade Trinity are all coming to Netflix on Friday, April 1, 2022. The trilogy stars Wesley Snipes as the half-vampire, half-mortal man who is determined to protect the mortals by slaying every evil vampire he comes across.

If you’re looking to get into the franchise before the new Blade movie comes out on Disney+, watching the first three films is the perfect way to do it.

Netflix adding 53 new movies and shows

More in the mood for rom-coms? Netflix has quite a few coming on April 1. They include A Cinderella Story, Catch and Release, Love Actually, Monster-In-Law, Rumor Has It…, and Something’s Gotta Give.

Netflix’s newest original movie is also being added on April 1. The Bubble tells the story of a group of actors who are stuck in a hotel due to the pandemic. While there, they try to complete a film about flying dinosaurs. Things do not go as planned.

The movie stars Karen Gillan, Pedro Pascal, Leslie Mann, David Duchovny, Keegan-Micheal Key, Fred Armisen, Maria Bamford, Iris Apatow, and Kate McKinnon.

Take a peek at the trailer here:

The start of April also brings Captain Nova to the Netflix lineup. The movie follows a fighter pilot as she travels back in time to save the world from an environmental disaster. But when she gets to the past, she appears young again and because of that, no one believes anything she says about the disaster that is coming in the future.
