Netflix’s Human Resources is a highly-anticipated new spinoff series to the streamer’s hit adult animated comedy Big Mouth. Self-described as Big Mouth meets The Office, Human Resources focuses on some of the best parts of its parent show: all the creatures and emotions that drive the story.

Shame Wizards, Hormone Monsters, Depression Kitties, Addiction Angels, Anxiety Mosquitos, Lovebugs and new creatures like Logic Rocks and Ambition Gremlins take center stage in this excellent animated workplace comedy series.

If you’re someone who likes Big Mouth but doesn’t always like the stories anchored by adolescence, then this more adult-oriented show is the perfect fit for you. Even if you’ve never seen Big Mouth before, Human Resources is accessible enough that anyone can enjoy it.

What is Human Resources about?

From the team behind Big Mouth comes an even edgier show that pulls back the curtain on the daily lives of all our favorite creatures helping humans journey through every aspect of their life, from puberty to parenthood and beyond.

Unlike Big Mouth, the spinoff is not restrained to middle school stories and gets to explore the entire spectrum of human emotion with a variety of characters. Plus, the workplace comedy angle allows us to see what these creatures are like when they’re on and off the clock.

The show also features an all-star voice cast, with many stars from Big Mouth returning, including Nick Kroll, Maya Rudolph, David Thewlis, while Randall Park, Aidy Bryant, Ali Wong, Keke Palmer and Brandon Kyle Goodman join as series regulars. Then there are recurring and guest stars like Bobby Cannavale, Janelle Monae, Lupita Nyong’o, Hugh Jackman, Helen Mirren, Rosie Perez, Chris O’Dowd and many more.
