The Adam Project is a highly-anticipated upcoming sci-fi thriller starring Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Walker Scobell, Catherine Keener and Zoe Saldana. Coming out on March 11, the upcoming Netflix Original stars Reynolds as a time-traveling fighter pilot who accidentally crash-lands in 2022. He teams up with his younger self on a mission to save the world and the future.

The Michael Bay-directed 6 Underground is an intense action thriller and Netflix Original starring Ryan Reynolds, Dave Franco, Ben Hardy, Corey Hawkins, Manuel Garcia-Fulfo, Mélanie Laurent and Adria Arjona. The story centers on a group of people who fakes their deaths to form a  talented team of vigilantes and stage a coup against a ruthless dictator.

While the movie does have fans, it also received criticism for its generic direction and long running time. Netflix originally wanted to create a franchise and had planned a sequel, but it was canceled. Still, if you just want to watch a fun action movie with Reynolds in the lead role, then you should check 6 Underground out.

Self/Less

One thing about Ryan Reynolds is that he’s going to star in an action film, but at least he likes to vary the genre a little. Self/Less is another action thriller, but this one has a sci-fi twist. Reynolds plays billionaire and business tycoon Damian Hale, diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Thinking he’s going to die, Damian is surprised when he receives assistance from a professor who invites Hale to transfer his consciousness into a younger, healthier body. Natalie Martinez, Victor Garber, Derek Luke, Ben Kingsley and Matthew Goode also star.

Red Notice

Red Notice is the newest of the Ryan Reynolds movies currently on Netflix. This Netflix Original stars Reynolds, Gal Gadot and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. According to Netflix’s viewership data, Red Notice performed exceptionally well for the streaming service, and two sequels are in development. The sequels will be filmed back-to-back, and the main trio of stars are all expected to return. This action comedy movie stars Johnson as an FBI agent forced to team up with an art thief (Reynolds) to catch a notorious criminal (Gadot).

Green Lantern

If you’re a Ryan Reynolds fan, you’ve probably heard a lot about Green Lantern, for better or for worse. Reynolds himself has frequently joked about the movie, even in the Deadpool movies. Green Lantern has become something of a joke in the DC fandom as many people felt the movie was, well, terrible.

However, in recent years, with time and distance from the movie, some feel that Green Lantern was unfairly lambasted. Watch it for yourself to see how you feel. At the very least, the movie is worth watching just to see where Reynolds met his now-wife Blake Lively, who co-starred with him in the film.
