Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page aims to help fans fall asleep easier with his recent Calm app collaboration, but it looks like it’s just making users’ hearts skip a beat.

The 33-year-old actor teamed up with the meditation and sleep company earlier this year to record a bedtime story titled The Prince and the Naturalist by Victoria Gosling. The 32-minute narration is meant to calm listeners and get them ready for some shut-eye, but with Page’s charm and sexy voice, it hasn’t been totally effective.

According to The Sun, many users are actually complaining that Page’s bedtime story has made them aroused, rather than calm and tired. Considering the actor rose to fame as Simon Basset on Bridgerton, a brooding and handsome Duke who has his fair share of intimate scenes, it’s easy to understand why his Calm app collaboration is getting this reaction.

Regé-Jean Page seduces fans with Calm app

The Sun pulled quotes from fans, with one allegedly saying of the bedtime story, “His voice just leaves me horny, not sleepy.” Another admitted, “I downloaded it and was thrashing around. Not sure that’s what the makers intended.”

A similar situation happened last year when Harry Styles narrated a bedtime story for the Calm app. As reported by ELLE in July 2020, the former One Direction member narrated Dream With Me, and users couldn’t help but feel like they were being charmed and romanced by the 27-year-old singer. Journalist Savannah Walsh recalled:

"“Everything was arranged for an ideal night’s sleep. The only problem: listening to Harry Styles whisper sweet nothings into my ear made me want to do anything but nod off.”"

If you’re a fan of Regé-Jean Page and want to check out his bedtime story, head to his page on the Calm app here to sign up. But fair warning: If you’re actually trying to get a good night’s sleep, this might not do the trick.

Bridgerton season 2 is expected to premiere sometime in 2022, but unfortunately, Page won’t be part of the cast. You can catch the Emmy nominee up next in The Gray Man, an upcoming Netflix movie by the Russo Brothers.
