New Christmas movies on Netflix December 2021

It’s officially the time of year to start watching Christmas movies for those who prefer to wait until December to get into the holiday spirit. If you’re one of those holds out, you have a lot of new Christmas movies to catch up on, especially on Netflix.

In November, Netflix debuted a number of new Christmas movies, including Love Hard and The Princess Switch 3, both of which hit the top 10. A Boy Called Christmas and A Castle for Christmas also premiere in November ahead of the biggest month for holiday movies.

Even though some of the biggest Netflix original Christmas movies made their premiere in November, Netflix still has a lot to offer by way of holiday movies in December. You can keep watching your favorites, or give some of these new titles a shot this Christmas season.

Single All the Way

Release Date: Dec. 2

Michael Urie stars in Single All the Way as Peter, who’s had enough of his family’s pestering about being single, especially during the holidays. Peter convinces his best friend Nick (Philemon Chambers) to pose as his boyfriend, but when his mother sets up him with her handsome trainer Jame (Luke Macfarlane), his plan suddenly backfires, potentially in a positive way.

A California Christmas: City Lights

Release Date: Dec. 16

Although not as popular of a franchise as A Christmas Prince or The Princess Switch, Netflix’s original romantic comedy A California Christmas receives a sequel titled A California Christmas: City Lights. Callie and Joseph are back and loving life on their dairy farm and winery, but sudden obligations in the city shake up their romantic holiday bliss.

1000 Miles from Christmas

Release Date: Dec. 24

You’ll probably be watching A Christmas Story, Elf, or Home Alone for the millionth time on Christmas Eve, but if you’re in the mood for something fresh, Netflix’s new Spanish Christmas movie 1000 Miles from Christmas will do the trick. A holiday hater ventures to a small town for work, and he’s met with a woman who seeks to change his mind about Christmas.
