Stranger Things season 4 is coming in summer 2022

While Stranger Things fans continue patiently waiting (okay, impatiently) for news on season 4, Netflix kicked off its Stranger Things Day celebration on Nov. 6 with all kinds of exciting content, including some teases about the Stranger Things season 4 release date.

On top of some fun behind the scenes looks at the upcoming season, Stranger Things Day also offered a look at the cast’s transformation between seasons 3 and 4 as they got back into character for the new episodes.

But that’s not all Netflix gifted fans when it comes to Stranger Things season 4. The streamer released a brand-new teaser, which gives fans perhaps the best look at the highly anticipated fourth season yet. Not to mention, the titles of the episodes were announced.

We won’t spoil the season 4 episode titles for you here, but we will share the teased release date for the new season. It’s already been confirmed to arrive in 2022, but here’s when fans should look out for Stranger Things season 4 to hit their Netflix watch lists.

Stranger Things season 4 release date

On Stranger Things Day, Netflix officially gave fans a timeframe for when to expect season 4, and unfortunately, it requires a bit more waiting. Stranger Things season 4 will release in summer 2022, which is a bit later than the initial spring 2022 estimate.

Although the new teaser reveals a spring break setting for the characters, we won’t be watching these episodes much before mid-2022, and even though that seems like a long time to keep waiting, considering it will have been three years since season 3, it will be well worth the wait.

Of course, Stranger Things season 4 could premiere on the earliest end of the summer spectrum in May 2022. We wouldn’t be surprised to see the new episodes drop in tandem with the long Memorial Day Weekend, but we’re also not expecting another 4th of July release.

For now, let’s keep our fingers crossed that season 4 arrives sooner than later, because who doesn’t want to see how all of these pieces come together? The more we see of the new season in the thrilling teasers, the more we can hardly wait to start binge-watching.
