Stranger Things season 4 is going back in time
By Sabrina Reed
We’re still waiting for Stranger Things season 4 release date confirmation. No, it wasn’t announced at Netflix‘s TUDUM event, unfortunately, so we still only know that it’ll premiere in 2022.
However, we did learn more about a plot at the heart of the season that’ll wind the clock back for the audience.
Stranger Things primarily takes place in the ’80s but this season we’ll be dropped into the tail end of the ’50s and introduced to the Creel family.
Their new home looks picturesque. It’s the kind of family abode that should be filled with laughter and good times, however, there’s clearly something sinister about to unfold in the new teaser that dropped during TUDUM.
Here’s what we know about season 4‘s trip back in time!
Stranger Things season 4 teaser
We’re headed to the Creel House in the fourth season which is a new plot for the series that will involve Robert Englund’s character, Victor Creel in the upcoming season.
Watch the teaser below to get a first look at what to expect:

Part of the Creels’ story will take place in 1959. The look back in time is likely to be tied to the clues Dustin, Steve, Lucas, and Max will be looking for in the house in their present day.
The story behind what happens to the Creels, however, isn’t only a mystery. It involves murder and claims that the family was killed by a demon. However, the trailer hints that demons aren’t in play but the Upside Down definitely is.
There’s also a significant focus on the grandfather clock within the teaser. It looks to be a gateway to the Upside Down somehow. Clearly, we’re in for quite the investigation with the Stranger Things crew in season 4.
