The moment has finally come: Lucifer season 6 is now streaming on Netflix! Arriving only a few months after season 5B’s arrival in late May, Lucifer is back for its final season which is filled with shocking moments sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish.

Although the first episode of the season gets off to a slower start than we anticipated bringing with it a slight time jump from where season 5 left off, the closing moment of the episode set up a major mystery with the introduction of a new character who promises to be a major player within the final season of the show.

Warning: The following post contains spoilers from the sixth and final season of Lucifer

As the season 6 premiere comes to a close, Lucifer takes a trip down to Hell to visit Dan, who we discover is still trapped in Hell after being murdered last season. While the conversation between Dan and Lucifer is a precursor for what’s to come for Dan this season, it’s what happens after Lucifer leaves Hell that leaves us puzzled.

After flying out of Hell, we hear a crack of thunder as the camera then pans to Lucifer’s throne where a mysterious unidentified woman is sitting before the episode fades to black.

Who is sitting on the throne of Hell in the Lucifer season 6 premiere?

So who exactly is the mystery woman sitting on Lucifer’s throne in the premiere? While we get the chance to meet the mystery woman in the second episode of the season when she strikes a deal with Dan to fly him to Earth in exchange for him telling her how he almost killed Lucifer, it’s not until the third hour of the season that we finally learn the woman’s identity.

In episode 3, it’s revealed that the mystery woman first introduced in the Lucifer season 6 premiere is Lucifer and Chloe’s daughter, Rory. As we discover in episode 5, Rory — which is short for Aurora — has traveled back through time from the future set on seeking revenge against Lucifer for abandoning her in the future.

While we always hoped to see Lucifer and Chloe become parents, we defintely will admit the introduction of Rory this season definitely wasn’t how we expected the story to come to fruition. However, Rory’s arrival does create quite an interesting storyline and is a major focus of the entire season including the series finale. How exactly will her journey play out, well you’ll just have to binge the season to find out!
