Stranger Things season 4 cast: Who’s leaving the Netflix show?

Stranger Things season 4 is officially in the works at Netflix and has been for some time. Every few months, we’re learning more about who is in the Stranger Things season 4 cast and who isn’t.

In a perfect world, everyone from the main cast of Stranger Things would return, the show would run forever, and everything would be swell. But, this is Hawkins that we’re talking about, and things are not fine and dandy. We’ve seen a lot of cast members come and go in three seasons of Stranger Things. 

So, who will be back for Stranger Things season 4? Who’s leaving in Stranger Things season 4? Let’s get into it!

Who is in the Stranger Things season 4 cast?

Stranger Things season 4 has a huge cast. There are so many talented individuals lined up for the new season.

So, that’s who is confirmed to be in Stranger Things season 4. But, who’s left out?

Will Billy be in Stranger Things season 4?

Billy

Well, obviously, the most notable cast member from season 3 who likely won’t be returning in Dacre Montgomery, who starred as Billy Hargrove for seasons 2 and 3. Billy was killed by the monster in the season 3 finale while saving Eleven. Billy was the central antagonist in season 3 after he was targeted by the Mind Flayer.

Billy’s death will likely mean that Montgomery will not be in season 4. He could be involved in flashbacks, but it’s unclear if that will happen. I’m assuming Billy will not be back for season 4.

Alexei

Like Billy, Alexei was killed near the end of Stranger Things season 3. Alexei was murdered by the Russian assassins during the Fourth of July Fun Fair. We won’t be seeing Alexei in season 4, which means Alec Utgoff, the actor who plays Alexei, won’t be back either.

Stranger Things season 3 characters that will be missing 

We also won’t be seeing some of the other season 3 cast members in season 4, and it’s mostly because their characters were killed, too. We shared that list below:

• Jake Busey (Bruce)
• Francesca Reale (Heather)
• Michael Park (Tom)
• Andrey Ivchenko (Grigori)

Three of those characters were melted into the giant monster, and the other was killed by the Russian machine after fighting with Hopper.

We could see Cary Elwes (Mayor Larry Kline) and Gabriella Pizzolo (Suzie) in Stranger Things season 4, but we thought they would have been confirmed by now if they were going to be in the season. So, we might be able to add them to the not coming back list soon.

Stranger Things season 4 wraps production soon. We’re hoping the release date is sometime later this year, but it looks like 2022 release date is more likely.
