Stranger Things season 4 cast adds Amybeth McNulty and 3 more

Stranger Things season 4 is going to be the biggest season of the Netflix original series, and that also applies to the cast. On Day 3 of Netflix Geeked Week, Matt and Ross Duffer announced Amybeth McNulty of Anne with an E has joined the cast of season 4.

This is huge news for Anne with an E fans and Stranger Things fans! Anne with an E was canceled on Netflix after three seasons, and millions of fans signed petitions for Netflix to renew the series for season 4. Before the casting news broke, there were theories about McNulty’s role in the new season.

According to Netflix, McNulty plays Vicky, a “band nerd” and new love interest of one of the Hawkins Heroes.

During Geeked Week, we also learned that three more actors and actresses have joined the cast of season 4, including Myles Truitt, Regina Ting Chen, and Grace Van Dien.

We’re expecting more of the recurring characters from past seasons of Stranger Things to be involved with the new season in some capacity, but those castings have not been announced or reported yet.

Stranger Things season 4 is still filming. We should see production wrap sometime later this summer, likely in August.

David Harbour said as much on his recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, so hopefully, that happens.

What does that mean for the Stranger Things season 4 release date? We’re not sure yet. It sounds like season 4 will be released in 2022. Finn Wolfhard confirmed that to fans on a recent Fanmio.
