Does Tory come back in Cobra Kai season 3?

Not everybody returns in Cobra Kai season 3, like Aisha. After the schoolwide brawl, her parents moved and put her in a private school. But what happens to her friend Tory in Cobra Kai season 3? Was her character written out or did she return?

Spoilers ahead for Cobra Kai season 3!

It’s unfortunate Aisha (Nichole Brown) didn’t get to come back, but it would’ve been more unfortunate if Tory (Peyton List) didn’t return. Everybody blames Sam and Robby and the rest of Miyagi-do for the back-to-school brawl, but Tory was actually the one who started it.

What happens to her? Let’s just say Tory in Cobra Kai season 3 is meaner than ever. She lives up to the “cobra” rep. She’s a real viper.

What happens to Tory in Cobra Kai after the fight?

Like Robby, Tory gets expelled from school. That’s not the only thing Robby and Tory have in common, though. They both come from broken homes, have to find ways to care for themselves, have a lot of anger against those they feel have betrayed them and are both on probation.

Oh, and their affinity for karate. They also share that in common. Can’t forget about that.

We also get to see a little bit more about Tory’s life in Cobra Kai season 3, which helps us understand why she has so much anger. Hurt people hurt people, and Tory knows a lot of hurt. Her mom is sick, which leaves Tory to care for herself and her little brother.

Between working two jobs to try and make ends meet, she’s also studying to get her GED since she got the boot from school. But ends aren’t meeting and she’s late on rent. Her landlord suggests a way she can make payment and let’s just say it’s an indecent proposal.

But someone else wants her too, for his own selfish reasons: Kreese. He knows she’s got the kind of killer instinct he’s looking for and wants her back at Cobra Kai. But how is she supposed to do that with everything else she has to worry about?

Kreese takes care of Tory’s landlord and rent problems, cementing her loyalty to him. It also frees her up to rejoin Cobra Kai, start training again and focus her anger on Miyagi-do and Sam. There’s nothing she wants more than revenge for what happened to Miguel, and for how Sam came between her and Miguel.

That’s why, along with the other Cobra Kais, she torments anyone from Miyagi-do any chance she gets.

When she learns Miguel and Sam are trying to get their dojos to train together, she sees a chance to strike hard. However, Miguel’s new dojo, Eagle Fang Karate, is made up of former Cobra Kais. It’s understandable why Miyagi-do doesn’t trust them.

However, Eagle Fang and Miyagi-do find themselves fighting together during the Cobra Kai home invasion Tory helps to orchestrate. She fights whoever gets in her way, but she has her sights set on one person in particular: Sam. She’s determined to finish what she started when she came for Sam at the school fight.

She doesn’t succeed, but all that does is to fuel her resolve. So look for the Tory-Sam rival storyline to continue in season 4.

Netflix already renewed the series for a fourth season, and production will start soon.
