Cobra Kai season 3 is a must-watch on Netflix

Goodbye, 2020, and hello, 2021 and Cobra Kai season 3!

The new season – and the first as a Netflix original series – of Cobra Kai is now on Netflix. It premiered on New Year’s Day 2021, and it’s the perfect way to kick off the new year at Netflix.

Cobra Kai premiered a few years ago on YouTube. Netflix picked up the series in 2020 and released the first two seasons this summer. Now, fans can watch the new season of the series all over the world.

If, for some reason, you are debating whether or not to watch Cobra Kai season 3 on New Year’s Day, scrap those other plans and dive in. It’s well worth your time, and before you know it, you’ll have watched all 10 episodes and will be waiting for Cobra Kai season 4.

The new season picks up right where season 2 ends and we get to focus on the aftermath of the battle at the high school. We see Miguel’s recovery journey and find out the rest of the characters are getting on and how each character has been affected. Johnny and Daniel feel responsible, and largely, they are.

There are some incredible moments in season 3. I don’t want to spoil any for those who haven’t watched, but I was very impressed with the direction this season chooses to go. As mentioned, it strips each character down and makes them really look hard in the mirror and choose what they want to be moving forward.

Through two seasons, every character has lost their way and their why to some degree, and season 3 is about finding that way and why again.

Season 3 is not perfect. There are a few flaws, but I don’t want to talk about those now. I’d rather focus on the positives. This show is the perfect escape, and season 3 takes that even further.

It’s clear that the show is building toward something epic in season 4, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for Daniel and Johnny, especially, but also for Miguel, Sam and Robby. We’ve seen the script flipped a few times through the seasons, and season 4 will be very telling about where this series is going as a whole. I don’t have any idea what’s going to happen.

Throughout the third season, there were so many “pinch me” moments for fans of The Karate Kid. I still can’t believe that we’re still getting to see rival karate gangs going at it in Southern California, but it’s so awesome and there’s so much drama. Kudos to the writers for not giving in and continuing to go bigger in season 3.

Cobra Kai is dripping with so much nostalgia. If you’re a fan of The Karate Kid movies, you’re going to love to see what season 3 has to offer.

After the rough year that 2020, Cobra Kai season 3 is the beginning of an incredible year of TV shows at Netflix. There are so many good Netflix shows coming in 2021. You can’t fall behind by skipping out on Cobra Kai season 3 on the first day of the year.
