Green Eggs and Ham season 1 is now available to buy on DVD

If you’re looking for the perfect gift for your children, their favorite TV show on DVD is a great option. Green Eggs and Ham season 1 is now available on DVD, but what do you get with the release?

You can still watch the series through Netflix. That isn’t going to change. However, Warner Bros. likes to release its TV shows and movies on DVD or Blu-ray, too. Green Eggs and Ham: The Complete First Season is now available to buy from all retailers.

I got a review copy thanks friends at Warner Bros. for the purpose of this review. All opinions are mine.

All 13 episodes, no internet required

Okay, so yes, you can download episodes from Netflix to watch without an internet connection. But what if you lose the internet at home and you didn’t plan for it? There’s no way DVDs will go out of business despite the streaming services available because of this.

Or what if you need to stop your Netflix subscription for a while? Now your kids can still watch Green Eggs and Ham season 1.

All 13 episodes are on the DVD. It features all the hand-drawn animation that you get on Netflix. It’s a beautifully-created series, and so much fun to watch. If your kids are anything like mine, this will end up on repeat!

The story is just the same. Sam and Guy meet by change due to a briefcase switch-up, and they end up on a road trip to save an endangered animal. Along the way, they cross paths with Michellee, an overprotective mom to EB, who is desperate for a pet.

As they all end up on their journeys, we catch up with Goat the Bounty Hunter, two bad guys, and an evil overload who are all out to get this endangered creature as a trophy. Will Sam and Guy get to the Chickeraffe first?

Are there any bonus features on the Green Eggs and Ham DVD?

Sadly, there are no bonus features. This is something that happens with a lot of Netflix shows that go to DVD, such as Fuller House. The idea is to keep people subscribing to Netflix since there are no extra additions to encourage the DVD sales.

It’s a shame, really. I would love a featurette on the creation of the series. That’s the beauty of animation DVD releases, to see how it’s all done.

You can only get it on DVD. There is no Blu-ray version available as of yet.
