Riverdale is based on the characters and stories from Archie Comics. It premiered on The CW in 2016, and so far, four seasons of the series have aired. All four of those seasons are now on Netflix, and Netflix is the international distributor of the series.

The series follows Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Jughead Jones, Veronica Lodge, Cheryl Blossom, and the other kids of Riverdale as they try to solve murders, be kids, catch serial killers, play cult board games, and more.

It’s a super-dark and ridiculous, but it’s also a lot of fun!

Riverdale is coming back for season 5. Normally, it’d premiere in October 2020, but The CW has bumped the season premiere to January 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic. The fifth season will, then, be added to Netflix in the summer or early fall of 2021.

The fifth season will feature a big time-jump. The kids will no longer be teens anymore, which means even more drama is possible and definitely on the way.
