While there have been a ton of good Netflix shows released this year, there are some notable Netflix shows that will not be returning for new seasons in 2020.

It’s been a weird year, to say the least, for new movies and shows. Obviously, the whole world has been affected by the pandemic, including TV and film production.

Almost all of the Netflix shows and movies have been affected in some way. Some Netflix shows have been delayed, while others have been canceled. All of those shows, likely, had virtual writers rooms going through the spring and summer.

To help fans keep track of Netflix shows coming back this year, we shared a list of Netflix shows with new seasons coming to the streaming service in 2021. These shows will not have new seasons released on Netflix this year.

Some of the Netflix shows on this list should be obvious to fans paying attention, but not all fans have the time to track production timelines and release dates for their favorite shows. So, that’s why we put this list of Netflix shows together.

Netflix shows: Lost in Space season 3

Lost in Space season 3 is officially happening at Netflix. It will be the final season of the hit sci-fi series.

Unfortunately, we’re not going to see Lost in Space season 3 this year, and as far as we know, that was never in the plans anyway, pandemic or not.

Lost in Space season 2 premiered on Netflix on Christmas Eve in 2019, and because the show needs a lot of time between seasons for the big action pieces and CGI, there was little chance Lost in Space season 3 would be ready for a 2020 release.

We’re hoping the pandemic hasn’t pushed Lost in Space season 3 to a 2022 release date, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
