Stranger Things season 4 is not coming to Netflix in 2020. Like Lost in Space, there was little chance the new season of the series would be ready for a late 2020 release date based on the timing of the start of production.

Stranger Things season 4 started filming in early 2020. It was scheduled to last through August, which would have put the season 4 release date on Netflix sometime in early 2021.

The pandemic caused production to shut down in March, and as of September 2020, production has not started again. Hopefully, the series will be released in late 2021, but there’s a chance that won’t happen if production doesn’t get started in the near future.

Stranger Things season 4 is scheduled to resume production on Sept. 17, 2020, but we have not heard if that date is still being considered for the restart date, officially. That news was reported back in July, and a lot has changed since then. We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the near future.

If Stranger Things season 4 is delayed again, there’s a chance we might not get to see the new season until 2022.
