Netflix movie sequels: Bright 2
For a time, Bright was one of the biggest Netflix movies to date. The Netflix movie stars Will Smith, Joel Edgerton, and Noomi Rapace, and it premiered on Netflix in 2017. The film from David Ayer was slammed by critics but loved by many Netflix viewers.
Bright 2 is currently in the works. No release date has been set, and production has not started. Ayer wrote the script for the sequel, but he will not direct. According to reports, Louis Letterier will direct the sequel.
Smith and Edgerton will return, although I’m not sure if Rapace will be back in the sequel. We’ll just have to wait and see. It’s going to be a while until we see Bright 2, so get comfortable.
Netflix movie sequels: Extraction 2
Extraction is the biggest Netflix movie so far, according to Netflix. The Chris Hemsworth movie premiered on Netflix this spring, which also happened to coincide with the, basically, global shutdown because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the movie, Hemsworth stars as Tyler Rake, a mercenary who tries to help rescue a drug lord’s son who has been kidnapped. David Harbour, star of Netflix’s Stranger Things, also stars in the film.
Extraction is produced by the Russo brothers, the directors of Avengers: Endgame. Sam Hargrave, who is a Marvel stunt coordinator, directed the movie. It was his feature film debut.
Extraction 2 is in the works with no release date set.
