Netflix movie sequels: Bird Box 2

Bird Box 2 is officially happening! Bird Box author Josh Malerman wrote a sequel, titled Malorie, to the first book, and during the press tour, Malerman revealed Bird Box 2 is officially in the works.

We don’t know a lot about the sequel, but we are hoping it begins after the events of the first film. We’re also hoping that Sandra Bullock will be back for the sequel, but that has not been revealed yet either.

Bird Box 2 probably won’t be released on Netflix for a few years, assuming production gets started soon. With the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s hard to know if and when production on movies like this will be able to begin.

Netflix movie sequels: Death Note 2

Death Note 2 is also in the works at Netflix!

The first Netflix movie premiered in 2017. It stars Nat Wolff, Lakeith Stanfield, and Willem Dafoe. The movie is based on the manga of the same name. The film tells the story of a notebook that kills anyone who has their name written in the notebook.

Overall, reviews weren’t great for the first film, but we know there were a ton of fans tuning in for the Netflix movie.

We don’t know much of anything about Death Note 2, including the cast, production timeline, or any of that. Hopefully, we’ll learn more about Death Note 2 and the release date and cast sometime soon.
