A list of six underrated Netflix movies to watch in the spring of 2020

Spring 2020 has been an incredible stretch for Netflix movies and shows. In fact, the whole year has been great for new Netflix movies and shows.

Because there have been so many good Netflix movies so far this year, we know you probably haven’t had time to watch all of them. So, we put together a short list of six Netflix movies you probably missed this spring.

I tried my best to spread the love around and pick Netflix movies from a variety of different genres. Hopefully, you’ll find a new movie that you’ll love.

We also shared a bonus pick that hasn’t premiered yet at the end of the list!

6 underrated Netflix movies you missed this spring

Tigertail

Tigertail is a Netflix movie from Alan Yang, the co-creator of Master of None. The film tells the story of a man, Pin-Jui, who leaves Taiwan for America at a young age, and follows him throughout his life in America, his relationship, family and more.

Tzi Ma, Christine Ko, Hayden Szeto, Lee Hong-chi, Kunjue Li, Fiona Fu, Yang Kuei-mei, James Saito, and Joan Chen star in the film.

Overall, Tigertail probably wasn’t as good as I thought it’d be, but it’s still quite good and definitely worth your time on Netflix!

The Willoughbys

Many viewers might have seen The Willoughbys on Netflix, but there’s also a lot of people who probably missed the release window of this movie and when it was on the Netflix Top 10 list.

The Willoughbys is an animated film with a great voice cast that includes Will Forte, Maya Rudolph, Alessia Cara, Terry Crews, Martin Short, Jane Krakowski, Seán Cullen, and Ricky Gervais. The film tells the story of four kids and siblings who have been severely neglected by their parents. And, now the kids want to leave their parents for good.

The Willoughbys is surprisingly good. I had pretty low expectations, but it definitely exceeded them!

Dangerous Lies

Dangerous Lies was one of the most popular Netflix movies when it premiered on the streaming service in April 2020. Shortly after, the movie vanished from the Netflix Top 10 rankings, and probably a little too soon.

Riverdale’s Camila Mendes stars in the Netflix movie, along with Jessie T. Usher, Jamie Chung, Cam Gigandet, Sasha Alexander, and Elliott Gould. In the movie, Mendes and Usher star as Katie and Adam, a couple who begins working for a very wealthy man. When that man turns up dead, things start to seem fishy.

If you like soap opera-esque drama, this movie is for you! Guaranteed, you will either love or hate this movie; there’s no in-between.
