19. Murderworld

Marvel Comics story: Avengers Academy

Arcade is a villain who designs places specifically created to kill people. He calls them Murderworld. Originally, they were twisted and perverted versions of theme parks, like a haunted house would have real or electronic monsters that would actually kill you.

In X-Factor, he added life-threatening traps to Mutant Town to kill X-Factor Investigations. Later, after being berated by his peers, Arcade created an island version of Murderworld. He captured some younger heroes including X-23, Nico of Runaways, and some students of Avengers Academy and made them compete to stay alive. Kind of like Survivor, except with actual death.

People love reality TV. They’d love this show more now that there are actual consequences. Especially when the people are fictional. Anyone die at any moment. This means that the audience would be at the edge of their seats. Would their favorite characters be killed off? How about their most hated. Will they survive? Who knows! You’d have to keep tuning in to find out.

Other than X-23 and Nico and Chase from Runaways, the characters in this series aren’t mainstream pop culture characters. This gives them exposure going forward. Even if they died on the show, their popularity could bring them back in the MCU. This show could easily be popular for multiple seasons.
