20 Marvel stories we’d like to see come to life on Disney Plus

20. The Story of Laura Kinney
Marvel Comics story: NYX, X-23: Target X X-23 (2005)
Logan is easily one of the five best comic book movies of all time. Besides the phenomenal story, we finally got the Wolverine movie we deserve, one without restraints.
It wasn’t just Hugh Jackman’s Logan that made the movie memorable. Dafne Keen as Laura (or X-23 in the comics) had a lot to do with it as well. People loved that she was ruthless, but they loved that she was caring and kind of naive as well. It’s disappointing that her story from that movie didn’t continue. Nevertheless, there’s good news. Disney Plus can debut the story of Laura Kinney from the comic books.
Laura’s story isn’t a pleasant one. She was trained to be a killer almost as soon as she could walk. If that’s not bad enough, they put adamantium on her claws at an early age as well. After killing her mother in a chemically induced rage, Laura lived on the streets for a while (see NYX for details on that). All of this happened before she was a teenager.
It was a while before she ran into Wolverine and became a member of the X-Men. As depressing as her tale is, it makes for a great story. Watching her become more than just a weapon is something everyone would enjoy. Especially when we see her become an X-Man.
