A glaring problem with Fear The Walking Dead season five is the fact that Morgan hasn’t even considered taking his new group of survivors back to Alexandria and the Virginia communities. Will it happen in season six?

The main issue affecting Fear The Walking Dead’s central group of survivors in season five has been the lack of a safe place to call home. Morgan (Lennie James) and June (Jenna Elfman) continue searching but they’re coming up short every time.

What’s peculiar is why Morgan hasn’t suggested taking them back to Alexandria. He’s been focused on helping other survivors but after their latest setbacks, a safe haven is the only thing they’re concerned with. Because of that, it makes sense for them to go to Virginia.

Warning! Spoilers ahead.

But before they even have a chance at getting somewhere safe, Morgan’s group needs to deal with Ginny (Colby Minifie). She currently has a tight grip on their convoy, following them at every turn. Ginny also seems to have forced a deal on them now that they’re in need of major help.

Assuming they do manage to evade Ginny long enough to escape, Morgan will probably suggest he and his friends journey to Alexandria. Texas and the Southwest are clearly inhospitable so now’s the right time to head home.

The additional benefit to having these survivors go to Alexandria is that a crossover with The Walking Dead is possible. There are a few roadblocks in the way of that happening but it’s not preposterous at the moment.

The biggest thing preventing these Walking Dead series from crossing over is the time gap that separates them but it would be an extremely satisfying development to see FTWD’s cast jump into the future. That way they can help Michonne (Danai Gurira) with the Whisperer problem.

While the odds are against FTWD’s cast crossing over with TWD, it’s not unheard of. Dwight (Austin Amelio) and Morgan already made the transition, why not merge the casts. Doing so would help Fear’s popularity considering the level of criticisms being levied on the most recent season, but that’s just our hope for the show.
