Jane the Virgin season 5 is coming to Netflix tonight

Jane the Virgin season 5, the final season of the great CW series, is coming to Netflix tonight! The new episodes will be available just after midnight PT.

Jane the Virgin season 5 is coming to Netflix tonight, but you’ll have to stay up late to watch the new episodes!

If all goes according to plan, season 5 will be released at 12:01 a.m. PT on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019. The season 5 finale just aired last week (July 31), and now it’s time to binge-watch the final 18 episodes the CW series on Netflix now. That’s right; Jane the Virgin season 5 is also the final season of the series.

If you live on the East Coast or in the Central time zone, you’ll have to stay up later than some of us West Coasters to watch the new season of the series starring Gina Rodriguez, Justin Baldoni, and Andrea Navedo.

Because of the deal between The CW and Netflix, Jane the Virgin’s new seasons are added to Netflix exactly eight days after the season finale airs on The CW. It’s happened for the last few seasons of the series, and it will happen again for the final season of the series.

Unfortunately, Jane the Virgin won’t be on Netflix forever. That cool deal with The CW and Netflix has expired, and new CW shows will now be available to stream via The CW app. That only applies to The CW’s new shows, like Katy Keene, Batwoman, and Nancy Drew right now. New seasons of Riverdale, The Flash, Arrow, and the other current shows will still have new seasons released on Netflix.

Jane the Virgin isn’t leaving Netflix anytime soon, though. Netflix will likely have the streaming rights to the full series for at least three years and possibly even longer. Still, you should get caught up and watch the final season of the great series before you see how it ends online or have it spoiled for you!

If you still haven’t seen this series yet or you are a few seasons behind, you can watch the first four seasons of the series on the streaming service now before the fifth and final season is added to Netflix.
