Wentworth season 7 is coming to Netflix US tonight

Guess what, Wentworth fans? The latest season of the hit Australian drama is coming to Netflix tonight! We’ve been keeping fans in the loop about the countdown to the season’s release on Netflix, and now it’s here!

Wentworth season 7 will be released on Netflix at 12:01 a.m. PT on Wednesday, July 31. If you stay up late enough, you can start your binge-watch of the new season late tonight!

UPDATE: Wentworth season 7 is now on Netflix US! 

The new season just wrapped up its seventh season with the season finale on Tuesday, July 30. It’ll be released on Netflix one day later, which is a rather new release development for the show and its new seasons. It’s really cool that the new season is available in the US so quickly after the season airs in Australia.

Wentworth season 7 aired on the Australian network Showcase. It consists of 10 episodes, and all those episodes will be available to stream on Netflix US at the same time. That’s good news for Wentworth fans!

I haven’t seen the new season, obviously, but I do know that this is one of the best shows on Netflix. And, I have been following the season, at least the fan reaction to it, on Twitter, and it sounds like it’s good! It’s status “to be determined” on how good it actually is, but fans are loving it, so I’m sure we will, too!

In addition to the good news that season 7 will be on Netflix very soon, we have some more good news to share with fans of the series. Wentworth has already been renewed for season 8! Not only that, but the network has ordered 20 episodes for the eighth season. According to reports, season 8 will be split into two 10-episode parts, and they’ll be released in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

We don’t know when exactly to expect those new episodes, but they’ll likely be released in the spring or early summer in 2020 and 2021. You can bet those new episodes will also be added to Netflix the day after their respective finales air in Australia.

Unfortunately, we don’t know where else in the world Wentworth season 7 will be available to stream on Netflix on July 31.
