Jane the Virgin’s fifth and final season now has a series finale date. This means we know Jane the Virgin will be on Netflix in August 2019.

There isn’t too long to wait for those who want to binge-watch the fifth and final season of Jane the Virgin. The CW has set a finale date for the series, so we know when it will come to Netflix. Jane the Virgin season 5 will be on Netflix in August.

The series finale will air on July 31. Despite The CW and Netflix not renewing their current deal, the shows currently streaming will still arrive eight days after the season finale. At least, for this season they will. That means we can tell Jane the Virgin season 5 will be on Netflix on Aug. 8, 2019.

The CW has been delivering final season orders for all its shows that have had more than one season recently. It’s certainly been something fans have appreciated as storylines get wrapped up with minimal questions and issues. Jane the Virgin fans needed this fifth season to explain the shocking twist at the end of the fourth season.

Before the series finale airs, The CW will have a celebratory episode of the series at 8 p.m. This is something else many shows have done for their longer-running shows, including HBO’s Game of Thrones and The CW’s The Vampire Diaries. This may be on Netflix when the full season arrives but it’s not clear just yet.

Along with the season finales, The CW announced the arrival of its summer lineup of shows, with Hypnotize Me taking over the Jane the Virgin timeslot.

It will be a sad goodbye, but this is an excellent chance to binge-watch the whole series. Those who haven’t even given it a chance yet will get the opportunity to see the whole series in full from Aug. 8.
