The CW announced Jane the Virgin season 5 is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, according to a report from Entertainment Weekly. The show has been slated in the 9-10 p.m. slot after Riverdale season 3 episodes.

Fans have been waiting what seems like forever for the new season of Jane the Virgin. The fourth season ended in April 2018, so it will have been almost a full year by the time the fifth season premieres. As Jane the Virgin is one of the biggest CW shows and the most popular for Netflix fans, we know there will be a lot of readers happy to hear the show will be returning soon.

Unfortunately, we have a little bad news to share as well. It’s not exactly “new” news, but some haven’t heard it yet and other might have forgotten. Jane the Virgin season 5 is the final season of the series.
