The Ranch Part 7: Dax Shepard will continue to guest star

Dax Shepard will return for new episodes of The Ranch season 4. We don’t know if he’ll be in every episode, but he has filmed new episodes of the Netflix series while also filming Bless This Mess.

Dax Shepard will be back for new episodes of The Ranch! 

According to a report from the Post Bulletin and Tribune News Service, Shepard will continue to film episodes of The Ranch while also filming new episodes of his new show Bless This Mess. The series premieres on ABC on Tuesday, April 16.

Shepard stars in Bless This Mess with co-creator and producer Lake Bell, who created the series with New Girl creator Liz Meriwether. Shepard was a guest star in The Ranch Part 6 and played Luke Matthews.

There was some talk that he wouldn’t be in any new episodes of the series, considering Bless This Mess is expected to be a success. Filming shows like this at the same time can be tricky, but it sounds like Shepard is finding a way to make it work at least for Part 7, and hopefully Part 8, too.

Based on the end of Part 6, it wasn’t certain that Shepard would be back as Luke. The writers definitely left a few openings for the Luke character to disappear and never return to the main story of the season.

It’s good to know his character will be back, and I feel that way because there’s definitely some hope for repairing all these relationships. Part 6 did a lot to shake up and unsettle these characters and this family. Hopefully, Luke can grow, along with the other characters, and we’ll get some resolution with his story.

And, I think this full season might be a bigger resolution, and that’s because there’s a good chance this season (Part 7 and Part 8) will be the final season of the series. There have been multiple reports that season 4 is the final season. Netflix has not confirmed that yet, but it sounds like the show will be signing off after this season.

The Ranch is currently filming episodes throughout the month of April. We heard Part 7 was filmed at the end of last year on social media, but we haven’t been able to confirm that news. Part 7 is expected to be released on Netflix in June 2019.
