Fuller House star Lori Loughlin will “likely” go to prison for some time if she is convicted for her role in a college admissions scheme, according to reports.

Lori Loughlin, best known for her roles in Full House and more recently the Netflix original series Fuller House, is facing prison time for her role in a college admissions scheme. According to a report from Deadline, it’s likely that Loughlin will spend some time in prison for her crimes.

Loughlin was charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud, according to the report, and she could be sentenced to up to five years in prison. Actress Felicity Huffman pleaded guilty to the same charges.

Deadline is reporting Loughlin won’t spend that much time in prison. It’s much more likely she would spend between six months and two years in prison, according to the report.

I’m no lawyer nor an expert in law, so I’ll take Deadline’s word for it in this report. It seems like we often see white-collar crimes like this get better treatment in cases like this, so it remains to be seen if that will actually be the outcome from this case.

Either way the court case shakes out, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to imagine Loughlin returning for the final season of Fuller House. It’s already been reported that it’s likely she will not return for the final season. Obviously, if she has to go to prison for the crime, then she definitely won’t be in the new season.

It doesn’t sound like they’ve started filming yet, so something could change in the future. I don’t see how Netflix, who has cut off contracts with actors who were not charged with crimes at the time, allows her to remain on the show.

We’ll be sure to keep all the Fuller House fans updated on Loughlin’s status with the show.

At the time of publishing, we’re expecting Fuller House season 5, also known as the final season of the show, will be released on Netflix sometime in December 2019. It could be pushed back to early 2020, but I have a feeling Netflix will get this show out around the holidays.
