A little about the character: On the surface, Titus Andromedon is a selfish, one-dimensional character. He’s a satirical version of gay men looking to make it big on Broadway. However, it’s soon clear that’s not completely the case. And it’s the layers that make him one of the fan favorites in the Netflix series — and across the whole of Netflix.

Why the character is a fan-favorite: While he initially seems selfish and annoying, Titus has a big backstory that shows just how much he’s changed to get to where he is. There are moments that you can groan and roll your eyes, but in the end, he makes decisions for his friends.

While Kimmy Schmidt is certainly the character you love the most in the series, Titus is one that has had the chance to grow the most. Since meeting Kimmy, he’s learned more about himself, about others, and about loyalty. He’s had the chance to apologize for past mistakes and put others’ needs first.

It certainly doesn’t always happen. This isn’t a character that has just completely changed — done a 180 from when he was first introduced. His development has been gradual and there have been comedic elements to it. Yet, he’s still his fabulous self and his music videos are some of the best parts of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
