2. An Avenger will make the ultimate sacrifice

So, whatever your ideal theory is on how the Avengers will beat Thanos in Avengers: Endgame. It could be with the use of time travel, the Quantum Realm, the Avengers making their own Infinity Stones, etc, whatever the solution might be in order for the plan to succeed, one of the Avengers will have to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to succeed.

And there is a number of reasons why this might happen. For example, if it is through the use of time travel and the Avengers need more time to do whatever it is they are planning to do, someone is going to have to go head-to-head with Thanos, knowing full well they won’t be able to defeat him, but is doing so anyway in order to buy everyone else more time.

Another example is if the Avengers are planning to make their own Infinity Stones. It will involve the same set of trials that Thanos had to endure. Which means, when it comes to the Soul Stone, someone needs to sacrifice themselves.

Considering contracts are coming up for some of the bigger named stars, Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. for example, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if one of the main characters was killed off for good and done so in a heroic way.

It’s an idea I’m sure many fans would like to see not happen. We want everything to be shiny and okay after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, but being honest, this outcome does have a high probability. Whatever the solution is in defeating Thanos and “unsnapping,” it will involve the sacrifice of one of the Avengers.

The only issue I can see with this is how it fits in nicely with the whole “the one” scenario that Dr. Strange saw. What has to change or happen in order for our heroes to make the ultimate sacrifice? The heroes, the majority of them anyway, are willing to do that every day. So, what has to be different this time?
