3. The Quantum Realm and the billion situations it creates

If the Quantum Realm doesn’t have a hand in defeating Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, I’ll be stunned. At first, as in after Avengers: Infinity War came out in theaters but before Ant-Man and The Wasp did, I wasn’t 100% sure if the Quantum Realm would come into the equation at all.

However, after Ant-Man and The Wasp came out in theaters, it was all but a certainty that the Quantum Realm would help in some way. And considering we’ve had a few hints from those working behind the scenes that the Quantum Realm will be key, it seems like a sure thing.

The question is how? How is the Quantum Realm going to help the Avengers in defeating Thanos in Avenger: Endgame? Because, if it wasn’t obvious by the little title above, there are like a billion situations here.

Okay, that’s an exaggeration, I know. But you get the idea. There are a lot of possibilities at how the Quantum Realm is going to help. If you’re wondering why that is, here’s why.

Basically, the lines of reality are blurred thanks to what Scott, a.k.a Ant-Man has gotten himself into. Our perception of what is possible is now changed as both time and space can be folded, and a time vortex can occur.

I’m talking about time travel essentially, but with a sort of portal twist to it. Once Scott figures out how to control the Quantum Realm (which he undeniably will otherwise how would he get back?), he can then use his new-found skills to jump through time.

This opens up the possibility of traveling through time and stopping Thanos before the snap happened without the need of the Time Stone. Or, bringing characters from the past to the present before being dusted to aid in the fight against Thanos and more.

That’s the main and most popular theory of why the Quantum Realm is so important being floated around by fans. But there are so many more ideas of how it will be used in Avengers: Endgame.

From using weaponized particles, bringing the dead back as they are not gone but in another dimension, open other dimensions, send Thanos into said other dimensions, the list goes on and on. Hence, the Billion situations.
